aluminium helideck

The motivation of this project is to analyse current aluminium helideck designs and investigate various aspects concerning this design. The main focus lies on the structural aspects regarding fatigue based failure of the aluminium helideck. This project forms my MSc graduation at Eindhoven University of Technology and is in cooperation with Bayards; a company that designs and fabricates aluminium helidecks and is always on the search to improve their product. Structural software SCIA is used to model the structural behavior and to obtain internal forces; with this information a finite element analysis is performed using Abaqus.
