The goal was to investigate a new wind energy solution that can be applied in urban areas. It is generally not accepted when large wind turbines are placed in this environment and, therefore, other options need to be explored. One specific proposal to harness the energy of the wind on rooftops (IRWES system) is investigated in full detail and reviewed. The report contains possible advantages, disadvantages and considerations of the system. In the end, an advice and opinion is provided about the IRWES system.
